Completed Volume 1 forthe CFA Level 1 Exam

I just completed the first volume for the CFA Level 1 Exam that i am taking in Dec 08. Volume is
Ethitcs (15%) and Quant (12%). It took over 3 weeks to complete. I realized how time consuming it is to go through the readings and the end of reading problems. However, the material from CFAI has been excellent. All the theory of Quant has problems dealing with finance and investments and stock markets. It makes it much more interesting to read. I realised that there are a lot of formulae to memorize and intricate steps. The calculations so far have been easy and not too time consuming. I had taken a Business Statistics course last semester (Spring 08) and that surely helped.

I am keeping an excel sheet to track my progress in the study course. Currently, it shows
Volumes : 1/6 completed : 17%
Topics : 2/10 completed : 20%
Study Sessions : 3/18 : 17%
Readings : 12/76 : 16%
Topic weight : 27/100 : 27% ( as ethics is overweight)

Now, i am onto Economics. 500 pages of reading covering Micro , Macro and other topics.
Lets see how this one goes as there is lot of theory to read and with exams coming up nexty week for my summer classes, my pace will slow down if not come to a halt.
